ABOUT GECO NATURE
Created in 2002 by a group of naturalist friends, GECO Nature was born from the desire to promote knowledge and conservation of the fauna, flora and ecosystems of the planet, and more particularly of the least studied regions.
OUR APPROACH .
For GECO Nature, improving knowledge of little-known natural areas of our planet involves study and inventory missions of fauna and flora, which we organize ourselves, from the design (choice of location, theme, participants, etc.) to the implementation in the field and the final publication.
To facilitate the implementation and acceptance of these expeditions, we are committed to establishing partnerships with associations, local communities and scientific institutes. Funding comes from the support of our members and public and private organizations.
The results of the expeditions are systematically brought to the attention of the interested public.
GECO Nature also aims to hold conferences, books, exhibitions and any initiative intended to raise awareness among citizens about the little-known jewels of nature, their fragility, as well as the actions of the organization.
GECO Nature, composed entirely of volunteers, is managed by a restricted board of directors (see "Leaders"), which decides on the orientations. Any member can set up his own expedition and benefit from the advice and expertise of the organization if necessary. It is up to the participants to find the funding of their expedition. GECO also has equipment that can be made available for missions.

Geco Nature collaborates with various organizations and institutions to carry out its nature protection missions.
