Key results: census of 320 bird species including a new site for the Sira Barbet, an endemic bird known from only two other locations in Peru and seen by only a handful of ornithologists worldwide; several rare bird sightings; 43 bat species and 11 other mammal species; over 1,300 records about 600 species added to the iNaturalist online database (with several firsts for iNat and for Peru), including a potential new species of moth.
-
Follow-ups: the sites visited have high potential for naturalist discoveries, particularly the central and southern part of the mountain range, and could be the subject of subsequent expeditions.
